Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in legal settings. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants and has been the recipient of many honors international and national levels. She has advised numerous administrations and agencies across the globe on policies as well as research related to the treatment of children victims in the justice system. Additionally, she provides consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
